Temple of the Goddess Solstice Celebration & Ritual
Summer Solstice is the shortest night of the
year, Midsummer's Night. This is the time of fertility
realized. Here the circle wanes toward darkness and
winter's mystery, though winter is still far away.

Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, is the
time for nurturing the seeds we planted in the spring,
the time for weeding and pruning that which would
limit our harvests. The sun is hot in the bright, azure
sky, ready to pour its energy into our projects, but we
must have open arms and an open heart, ready to
accept its abundance.
Our evening of myth and ritual theater begins by
honoring the power of the Sun, the power of growth,
and the power of life. We welcome the Sun Goddess
and the lessons she offers during this cycle of the
season. Having found courage in Spring to plant our
seeds and grow the garden of our dreams, now
begins the work of caring and nurturing our projects
and dreams.
As our Summer myth and enactment unfolds, we
realize the great work we must do to keep our
Gardens alive and thriving in the heat of the summer
sun. The dream seeds we planted in the Spring need
tending as they grow into young plants and flowers. In
order for them to thrive, we must tenaciously pull the
weeds of fear, laziness, or misplaced beliefs that
would strangle or block new growth and life. We must
constantly keep our gardens nurtured with the water of
love and faith.
Journey with us as we seek the essence of true
strength to be the successful Gardeners of our Lives.

Litha
I am the fire that burns within your soul.
I am the Holy light that fills and makes you whole.
I am the Flame within, that never dies.
I am the sun that will ever arise.
Power of the Sun we honor you this night.
We leap across the fire to keep our spirits bright.
Power of the Sun, fire in the night.
We leave behind, that which blinds, to restore our
sight.
I am the fire that clears away the old.
I am the holy light that guides you to your soul.
I am the Flame Of Love for which you yearn.
I am the sun that will always return.
